In this menu, you can define when the phone connects to the GPRS network
(network service). For general information about the GPRS service, see page
16
.
To access this menu: Press
Menu
in standby mode, and select
Settings
,
Connectivity
and
GPRS
.
Select
GPRS connection
and
Always online
or
When needed
.
• If you select
Always online
, the phone automatically registers to a GPRS
network when you switch the phone on, if the GPRS network is available in
your location.
If you select
When needed
, the phone registers and connects to the GPRS
network only if you use a function that needs the GPRS service. In this case,
establishing the connection may take longer than when
Always online
is
selected.
